About me:

  • I am currently a Software Engineer for Google, in the heart of Silicon Valley (or almost)
  • I graduated in '06 with a MS in Computer Science from Cornell University, NY, and in '03 with an Engineering Diploma in Computer Science from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania

Work related:

  • I like working for Google and I do a lot of interesting things. Here is an older resume of mine (to be added). If you are interested in joining Google, we are hiring, so check our job descriptions online.
  • I had a very pleasant experience working for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. The people there are great and it was fun interning there in 2005.

Personal:

  • I have lots of hobbies and too little time: I am a Private Pilot and currently started studying for my Commercial Rating. Eventually I will become an instructor. I am now getting back into rock climbing, and martial arts (small circle jujutsu this time). Also, I have a newly discovered interest in scuba diving. Somehow, I find the most expensive hobbies to be the most appealing ones...
  • I'm dreaming of retiring to some remote island in the Pacific, or at least having a place there I can retreat to every once in a while; Paris works too. Maybe Alaska for a while...
  • My cat, who goes by the name is Kitten, is a little devil...

At some point, I will be adding photos of me, myself, and my interests (see footer*). For now I have some on Picasaweb you can check out. Not too many of myself, I feel more comfortable behind the camera.

I recently took a trip into Mexico. This is quick view of the desert of Baja California Sur, and how other planes saw me and my plane, as they were cruising by (the PA28-140 is definitely not a race plane)... By the way, here is a small article I wrote with advice on learning to fly.
